Terms and Conditions - Free/Charity Stalls
These terms and conditions apply to the provision of a stall pitch at Davidson’s Mains Children’s gala to the exclusion of any other terms presented by the stall holder. This provision shall be deemed to be accepted under these terms and conditions by the stall holder agreeing in writing to have a stall at the gala.
You agree to the following conditions:
- All stalls are approximately 3m x 3m, unless agreed otherwise by the committee. Stallholders may provide their own shelter or request a shelter be provided by the Gala. All requests are considered but not guaranteed until confirmed by the committee. Shelters consist of a covered gazebo with open sides. Side may be requested. Stallholders shall provide their own tables and any other equipment required to trade from their stall.

- Stall holders must supply details of the items they intend to sell and stick to the items they have applied to sell, any additional items should be approved by the gala committee and stall holders may not transfer their stall to another provider unless agreed with the committee.
- No food should be sold unless the gala committee has authorised the sale of food from that stall. If authorised all food products must be clearly labelled with ingredients.
- Stall holders shall provide their own hand washing facilities.
- Stallholders are responsible for cleaning the immediate area surrounding their stall and disposing of their own rubbish.
- There is no electricity, gas supply or running water available.
- You agree to follow all applicable trading laws and regulations including the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 if applicable all food safety legislation including those related to food hygiene. Stallholders must have all relevant traders’ licences, electrical PAT certificates for any electrical equipment, gas certificates if using LPG equipment, health and safety certificates, food trading licenses and food hygiene certificates available on request and for display on the day.
- The stall position will be assigned by the Davidson’s Mains Children’s gala association committee and you will be advised where your allocated pitch is. You can not change your stall position.
- Access to Lauriston Castle is from 9.30am on the 17th June 2023. The gala parade leaves the green at 11.30 and all stalls should be set up by then. The parade arrives at 12pm (no vehicle movement can be made within the grounds between 11am and 4.30pm).
- Trading will cease from 4.00pm and all equipment must be cleared by 5 pm.
- After setting up vehicles must be removed from Lauriston Castle grounds and parked outside.
- No vehicle movement will be allowed into Lauriston Castle or within the castle grounds between 11.00am and 4.30pm. when driving in the grounds there is a speed restriction of 5 miles per hour.
- You must provide the vehicle registration number of the vehicle you intend to bring.
All vehicles must follow all traffic regulations and the traffic movement guidance set by the gala stewards.
- The sale of counterfeit, dangerous goods, fireworks, alcohol and vaping products is strictly forbidden. No glass containers should be used on site.
Insurance
You agree to hold and provide to the committee a copy of your public liability insurance sufficient for any potential liability from your stall.
You hereby fully and forever release and discharge Davidsons Mains Children’s Gala from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities or expenses arising from this agreement.
